Founded in 1969
Founded in 1969, La Cisa started its work on the road, in the transport sector. Throughout the years, its core business shifted towards the industrial handling of steel and raw materials. Recently, La Cisa completely abandoned the transport sector to highly specialize in internal logistics and in handling machinery rental.
The Company provides its clients with the great experience gained in 50 years of experience in logistics, industrial handling and warehouse management.
Skilled operators and modern machineries guarantee a high-quality handling of semi-finished and finished products, at all stages.
La Cisa is also responsible for:
- Material identification and storage
- Computerized management of the apron on forklifts and self-propelled
Thanks to its workshops distributed on the territory, La Cisa is able to guarantee a full coverage for any type of maintenance, assuring excellent performances of its machineries and the best possible service.
It is 1959 when Remigio Provenzi, the future founder of La CISA, only twenty years old, joined his family transport company with his father Alessandro and his brother Giuseppe. In that year it was born the first major trade agreement with Dalmine Spa (at that time belonging to the Finsider Group) for ingot transport and laminating rollers for the factories in Dalmine, Sabbio Bergamasco, Costa Volpino and Massa Carrara.
In 1969, Remigio Provenzi founded, together with his brother Giuseppe, La Cisa Transportati Industriali Srl. Over the years the road transport activities are gradually abandoned and the business moves “inside the factories.” Remigio senses that the warehouse management is far from being optimized and glimpses into internal logistics potential for value creation still not fully exploited.
In the 70’s are purchased the first forklifts used for the managment of external warehouses of some of the major steel producers. Those are the years that see the born of historical yards at Taranto, Novi Ligure, Genoa and Italsider of Bagnoli group and the steel mill in Piombino (then owned by Deltasider). In 1978, La Cisa gets the complete management by Dalmine Spa of the storage of finished products in Marina di Massa.
In 1990 La Cisa concludes the settlement within the Finsider group getting the complete management of Dalmine Spa bars yard which, in a short time, other logistics contracts are added.
The subsequent years are characterized by a change of size of the company. The privatization of the steel industry is forcing the new owners to vertically integrate logistics processes. The only Dalmine Spa keeps alive the outsourcing policy of the handling services of steel. The yard of Dalmine thus becomes the main site, and especially thanks to the participation of Paolo, the current CEO of La Cisa, new process technologies are developed successfully.
The last few years have been characterized by acquiring new customers and strengthening of relations with historical ones. The resourcefulness of Paolo and the invaluable contribution of his brother Roberto (working since 2007) allow La Cisa to carve out an important place within the national scene and the international one.
