La Cisa and WelfareCare together against Breast Cancer

According to AIOM (Italian Association of Medical Oncology) breast cancer affects 1 in 9 women with an average of 55,000 new diagnoses each year.

To date there is no real cure but it has been seen how good prevention can make a difference: with an early diagnosis, in 98% of cases, it is completely cured. With the arrival of the Covi19 pandemic, all these so-called preventive exams have been cancelled or postponed, making this fundamental requirement lacking.

Cisa, which strongly believes in prevention, has decided to support the initiative proposed by WelfareCare and carried out together with the Municipality of Dalmine and other local partners.

The goal is to perform free diagnostic tests for the prevention of breast cancer to women in an age group at high risk, that is between 35 and 49 years, starting from the municipality of our headquarters and then arrive in the other municipalities of our operating sites.

The initiative will take place on April 23, 2022 in Piazza Libertà – Dalmine BG where will be set up a mobile clinic complete with examination room, ultrasound and mammography that thanks to doctors and specialists in the field will perform checks to all eligible women who want to undergo prevention.

Requirements to participate:
  • Be between 35 and 49 years old at the time of booking and visit
  • Have not performed mammograms in the last 12 months
  • Live in the municipality where the event will be held
  • Not be already included in the screening protocols of the SSN (also for familiarity)
How to make the reservation?

Reservations will be available starting April 15 in the 👉 welfarecare.org in the book section.
